adjusting the acuator arm

i know its not that hard but i kinda wanna have someone help that knows what they are doing cuz i dont wanna f*** something up.....

 

and why do you believe you need to do this exactly?

 

boost more psi..im running a map that is good for 18 and im only pushin 15 max...

 

i have done it on my car a few times. I can show you how to do it, but i really dont know why you would wanna do it.

 

its makes sense to do it if he's not hitting target boost. i should be at the shop most of the day tomorrow... stop by and we can do it together.

If you are not hitting target boost, you should first log the car and see where you are not hitting it, Boost gauge is not very accurate usually. But yeah by making the arm tighter you will hit more boost, too much and you will get creep( or spike what ever it is)

yes cuz the map is for a target boost of 17.9 sooooooooo i wanna be in that target range!

just gauge right now haven't had the chance to get enginuity becaust the site was down for awhile...so i haven't been able to log at all....i gots dial up would take forever to download it lol

tighten it one turn then log again. if you still arent hitting it tighten again. once you go to far you will start spiking, then loosen it 1/2 a turn.

make sure you dont have any pre turbo exhaust leaks first.

come on, i know some stuff. I have had the car for a while now and do most of the work on it myself. I would not offer help if i was not sure how to do it. I know how to log and stuff and can interpret most of it. I know how to do some of the boost mapping as well. I am learning.

3. if he is making the target and his gauge is off he is out of the map target.

 

well either way i dont have it right now and it takes hours to download it that i dont have so its kinda hard for me to log at this point and time

 

good point about the leaks. I had this problem for a very long time. And it end up being a massive hole in my turbo inlet that took me 8 hours to replace.

 

read what has been said, evaluate info. go from there, log with justin before you start monkeying around

I am pretty sure a new map should be enough to make the boost go up. Log the car and then tighten the arm.

 

as long as im not creeping/spiking i gots no worries whatsoever

3. Check tune
4. Adjust arm
5. Log car
6. Repeat till right

 

I say let them do what they want... If they want to learn from trial and error let them its their choice i guess. But i would have to agree with Curly on this one

um no, i asked if it was tuned where its at... hence leaving it the hell alone. i then asked if it had actually even been logged to see where it was at with the OTS map, OTS map=crap IMO, and you shouldn't start monkeying around with it unless you know where it is. i would prefer to play it safe and not have it on the high side if it hasnt even been logged.

 

i think everyone is just playing.
