I have to agree; it is pretty rude to do something like that without the member's approval. Please change it back for Justin.

Well, this whole thread should have been done through the pm system, thats why we have it. And again, you can make your own custom title, and if you can't let a mod know what you want it to be.

    no,
i'm letting him know he is not getting anywhere by grouching at me.

a threat typically describes some sort of consequence for not adhering to some predetermined course of action.

are we ready to fix this or do you want to crab some more first?

Is his 'grouching' unfounded? Answer that. "are we ready to fix this or do you want to crab some more first?" O RLY? It shouldn't have happened in the first ****ing place. Grow the **** up. Why do we feel the need to dredge the river when the problem has all but been buried and forgotten? What purpose did pissing off Justin serve? I can't remember the last time I saw him at Firestone, and aside from the Duluth thread, the last time he posted. And as far as I can tell, things were quiet here again. Who felt the need to drag this crap back up and cause drama? Can't you all just shut the **** up about things and move on? Grow up, all of you.

Oh, and the typical "picking sides" crap will probably start amongst the secret talky time, but you can shove it. This isn't about mods vs. Justin for me at this point, this is more about "are we as members going to have to deal with this crap too?" What is stopping mods from ****ing with my avatar/member title? Or messing with posts or anything of that sort? Seriously, this is one of those things that kinda crosses the line of trust. And why snap at Fong? He is concerned too I'm sure. Why doesn't someone explain to us what the purpose of changing Justin's member title and stirring the **** was? Because I'd like to know. And honestly, if this had been anyone else, it probably would have been a funny jab and it would have been fixed or forgotten...but someone deliberatly chose a person on these forums that we all know isn't good buddies with the mods. I seriously doubt that there was going to be a soft elbow nudge and a mutual snicker about this between the person that did it and Justin. It was definatley only meant to stir the pot again. LET IT DIE FFS! PLEASE.

Well, before you take side, members can make their own custom titles, so who is to say that Justin didn't change his title to stir the pot. I have asked him to let me know what he wants it change to and I haven't received a answer from him.

Because I doubt he'd bother to stir crap again. He rarely even comes around anymore, why would he care to come back and cause problems like this? It is possible, but it makes no sense to me. But I agree, he could very well have changed his member title for the sake of causing trouble. But from what I know about Justin from the two times I've talked to him the past 2 months or so is that he is immersed in his little P&P projects. And he sells this stuff in the Subaru community. Why would he want to cause issue publicly if he is trying to sell product?

And if I were a betting man, I'd guess he'd want his title to be whatever the post count indicates it should be. I'm pretty sure if you enter a null value for the user title it will revert back to the post-count based naming convention. Just my two cents here.

And now I see your point why he should have PM'ed. If he can change it, he could have simply changed it and pointed it out to an admin. Makes sense.

i've never once said i wanted my title to be changed at all. Just back to what it was before it was changed just like everyone elses is.

and yes, now that you told me users can change their own title i guess it would have been possible to change it, however i had no idea before and hour ago that i could even change my own title thing.
