I have a 2006 subaru sti, with the AEM EMS series 2, with my key turned to on (but engine not running my check engine light is flashing. when the car is running no check engine light... anyone know have to check these codes? and no OBDII scan tool will not connect to my car. PLEASE HELP, video posted below
Read the manual? http://www.aemelectronics.com/Images/Products/Installation Instructions 30-6820.pdf "Check Engine Light The Low Side 10 output (LS10) activates the Check Engine Light on the gauge cluster. It is configured to activate at low RPM in the AEM startup calibrations; this can be reconfigured by selecting Tools>>Configure Outputs." Do you have the AEM program on a computer that you can connect to it?
I for sure don't. Reading that line in the manual it sounds like the tuner could have made the CEL come on for a custom reason. Maybe. Do you have a cable that came with the car? USB or serial? Something is required to get the software/computer to talk to the hardware in the car. Although based on this limited conversation it sounds like maybe you shouldn't. Another thought is when was the battery replaced. Have you changed something in the car at all? Does it run ok? Are you in the Twin Cities? Call RS Motors? Good luck.
the light has always done that before i got it tuned by lj at full blown. but ya i have the usb and serial cable and i can hook up with my laptop to the EMS, i just dont know where i can go to see what these codes are.
