Thanks! Yeah I don't think that driver had a vary good day. I wonder if he's on this forum (newer white STi)
yeah it was me. Thanks for making it look like I was the only one who hit any cones all day. The autox portion of the course was a figure-8 that doubled back on itself. The first run through was a comedy of errors as people tried to figure out where they were supposed to go. In that bit on the video I goosed the throttle a bit too early and pushed into the cones. Did the same thing on my third run (on a different corner) but put the front wheels in the grass. That ended my day since they have a strict rule about no off-course excursions. In general the '08 seems to want to rotate more than my '05 did, so the pushing kind of took me by surprise. I ran Mowog2 a couple weeks ago and never really enountered that, is "snap understeer" a legitimate term? I guess getting on the gas lightened the front enough to break traction; I have in-car video and I've got the wheel cranked both times, but the car just went straight. Anyway, yeah, I felt pretty n00b-ish that day. I did manage to pull 10th place overall from my one good run; I wish I'd had a few more tries at it.
Everyone was making mistakes (hitting cones, going off course, stalling on the track, etc..) that day...don't sweat it. I heard DNF on the radio all day and I think one guy got a DNF on every run  In the end it all that matters is that you had fun
