air filter capacity and efficiency test

    take the info for what you think it is worth, The results didn't surprise me. More air flow will always equal more dirt getting by. filter test

    Okay, but this still looks like a cheap, flimsy POS that I would NEVER trust in my airbox.

    who cares what it looks like? Its not flimsy and it filters ten times better. I always use the OEM filter in my subaru, it does the job better.

    I honestly wouldn't buy a K&N but since my car already had one in it and I have cleaner and oil laying around I will continue to clean this one until I run out of cleaner and oil. Then it's OE time.

    OEM Subaru, yes. Sturdy filter.

    ACDelco, no. Not unless its got a screen backing on it for some stress/torsional resistance.

    I doubt very little that would help much. The folds carry the stress.
