I am looking for some advice on alarms. Does anyone have any recommendations for brands/features that I want? Also I need to find an installer, has anyone had any experience with Mach 1? I was told to pick someplace reasonably shady, not a big box store for a quality (hidden) install. I am basically looking to prevent any opportunists from doing a smash and grab on my new stereo. I am planning on putting a kill switch in so I am not as worried about someone stealing the car (just need a deterrent so they don't try). Oh, and there is no factory alarm on the car currently. my buddy works at mach 1. He loves Compustar remote starts/ alarms. They are pretty crazy. i think some of them have a remote range of over one mile. and if you have a turbo they have a turbo timer feature as well. check em out online. i think you can also program up to 14 relays to do just about anything you want, it think you can even get a module that controls you windows with the remote. things like that. pm me if you're interested, i can talk to him. I'm pretty sure he can help you out by installing one for you on his own time.
