i bought my wrx about a year ago and i never got my alarm remote. I just got a key. So i have never been able to use the alarm so i bought some remotes off of ebay for the car, but they never worked. Over the weekend my battery died and i went and bought a new one and everything works good...almost. Now after everytime i lock the doors and close them, my alarm is armed and my lights flash. So the every time i come to the car and unlock it with the key they alarm will go off and the only way i know how to stop it is turn the ignition on and off 3 times within 5 sec. Do i need the remotes to stop this? or is there another way to turn this off so it will stop doing this?
You need to lock all the doors but the driver door, shut your driver door, then lock it from the outside with the key after the door is shut. Then your alarm won't be armed. Or you could just remove the alarm
