Just for fun I was looking through used car ads down here for interesting deals. The LGT has been great, especially after the Stage 1 AP upgrades, but it's been paid off for a while now and I was amazed that it was valued at over $18k still. I saw a Lotus Exige in my favorite color, British racing green, and went to the stealership for a test drive yesterday. Those little things kick ass! It had aftermarket suspension, LSD, and wheels for wider tires in the rear. It was built up to be a track car so it had limited fluff inside the car. It drove like a brick on rails and it was real easy to break those rear tires loose even with the bigger Yokos. Exhaust and engine noise is in your face so I'm not sure why it had a stereo still. It had 18k miles on it and the dealer was offering $16k for my trade in (he said my LGT would be easy to move) toward the $27k price tag on the Lotus. But I just can't get rid of AWD yet, even if I do live in TX now. To make me feel better I decided to shop around for a better exhaust. Do any other LGT owners ('05 btw) know of a good aftermarket exhaust that trim that silly dual into a single pipe which lets you hear the growl?
27K for an exige? Was it the non-supercharged version? I really considered getting an Elise once (05), but those fiber glass clams are too fragile and expensive for me to be able to drive that car without worrying about breaking things.
The Exige has very little fluff in it stock, they are pretty much track ready from the get go. Awsome little cars.
