    how tight do i put my new alternator/power steering belt on? its for a 93 legacy ls awd. just wanna make sure i dont ruin anything thanksa ll

    Tighten it until the pressure you apply to it from your thumb only moves it about a centimeter. Too tight is bad for the pullies' bearings and too loose may cause the pullies to slip and squeel. But don't worry, there's a good margin between too loose and too tight.
