Aluminum polishing

    Does anybody here polish aluminum, or know of someone who does. I am looking to polish my intercooler.

    i polished my intake manifold and turbo compressor housing before. an intercooler should not be a problem. how big is it?

    it's just a STI intercooler, I must be doing something wrong because it is a PITA.

    I know Scuba Steve just polished a wrx intercooler with what I don't know but it looks great!

    its easy...just time consuming

    flapper wheel, cross buff, buffing bob

    I started sanding the rough spots with 150, then smoothed that out with 400, the problem is that there are so many small surfaces that are so hard to reachespecially the tank pinch joints

    where do you get your flapper wheel, cross buff and buffing bob, also what sort of compound do you use?

    Say what? honestly my main concern with polishing the IC is that the more it is handled the more chance there is to bend the fins.
