So they have changed the tour stop for the Millville pro race, good thing I noticed it before it was too late I would have banked on going in the middle of August. Well I guess I just wanna see if anyone else plans on going? Also the mains are on a Saturday this year not a Sunday (so those church goers can make it ).
I'm a church goer, (I normally go Saturday night when there is a all day sunday event) I'm In for sure, my son really wants to go as well, have you got tickets yet? Do you want meet somewhere and drive down? I think I'll get some MX/ Subaru Buddies toghter from north of the cities and drive down!
That sounds great Michael! Nope no tickets yet usually buy them at the gate not like it matters anyways.
ugh...i havent been there in years , in my day there were couches(SP) on fires and box vans set up as a dj booth with huge speakers and lights , i used to race some but got out after a dislocated wrist at plainview, that bike was a 98 kaw 125 with a Eric Gore(sp) big bore cheater kit , had my wrist rebuilt in roc. / 6 months off work , and have only been on a mx bike once since then may go this year if i can get my bro. to come with , or meet up with some people from here
Spring Creek is always a good time...roar of 2cycles and now more 4 cycles, rednecks w/cutoff jeans dragging their skanky wife, sister, mother, or all of the above. With Ricky not riding it maybe a race worth watching. Bubba seems to be following in his footsteps. I am a Grant Langston and Chad Reed fan so rooting for the underdogs. Going w/Chet maybe a stretch though considering his rep. from what I have read and have been told. I might lose rep. points by associating w/him, oh this site does not have that system so no worries. Probably a good thing, though.
^ Never even met you but if you wanna be a prick about it than you can be, to each there own I guess ... FYI last year there wasn't a single pinger in the mains and Chad Reed SUCKS!!!
Chad Reed is too big of a primadonna to race outdoor mx. Unfortunately, Bubba isn't racing outdoors this year, either.
There weren't any pingers last year because all the racers aren't good enough to race one against the thumpers, Reed and Stewart both suck for not racing outdoors, There in it just for the $$$$ one of my favorite bikes I ever had was a 93' CR 125 from the old school days
The manufactures don't want them on pingers. Plus, I don't know if the new AMA equal displacement rules from last year apply to the pros or not. I bet Bubba would've whooped the entire field if you put him on a 125, lol. In the amatures, they now have a 250 class (125-250cc 2- or 4-stroke) and an open class (125-whatever you want-cc 2- or 4-stroke) in motocross.
yes, that would be ftw. Service Honda makes custom CRs and KXs where they stuff the old 500 pinger into their respective modern 125 or 250f chassis. Or you can go completely insane and get an ATK intimidator 700cc beast. :eek4:
Great Pictures! ^ I know the 4 strokes have twice the moving internal parts and the parts is where the money is made!
There's going to be a special 2-stroke only race! RC dominated the field at Red Bud and I'm hoping he'll show up for this one as well.......along with Bubba! That would be sweeeeeet.
