I went out of town this weekend and on my way back was HELL, Blizard. Aniwais, its in Wisconsin on Hwy 29 going Westbond. There's lots of cars in the ditches and cars facing 180* on "my" direction. to make a long story short, a V10 4x4 truck spun out and went into the ditch. Dont ask me why but I just somehow stopped and see if he needed help. Well, his truck ain't moving, thats for sure. He said he called for help but its gonna be about 30min. Poor guy, he's starting to panicing. I felt sad for him so I told him if I can try pulling him out with my Subie. It took about 5 tries and rocking the Truck(w/my subie, not cool at all) but yea I did get him out. Luckly the weather was not that cold and traffic is very minimum(in my direction). He was amazed at how a small car can pull a huge truck. He though my Wrx was a V6 AWD. worse, he though it was a Mitsubishi or Pontiac, damn him. Well, I knew those knew towing straps would come in handy one day. Well, at least I get tons of "Thank You"s. I dont know why I help this guy instead of the other "small" cars but aniwais that was my weekend.

Anything cool happened for you guys weekend?

dont underestimate the power of a suby when it comes to pulling things out. IIRC there is a little EA81 hatch around here which pulled out a lifted jeep which was frame deep in mud.

haha, maybe....for the Ice Race, if incase somebody gets stuck somewhere(if I go). My straps will be in my trunk always though. Maybe one day "I'm" the one that'll be stuck. who knows.

oh yea, and I forgot to mention my new All Season Performance Tires too...haha. Thank god for my tires. I might couldn't make it home w/o it. The Hwy was "NOT" plow at all.

How much for the towing? You haven't listed a price. Or are you selling the tow-straps?

As it didn't look like you were actually selling a towing service, I moved this to General Subaru.

It's alway fun to amaze the locals with the power of AWD!

i owe a lot to a v-10. i was high centered (hotdog style) on a median with my old mx6 GT after doing and unintentional 360 on christmas night 2 years ago. he spent about 30 minutes helpin me figure out a way to get outa that mess. we had (2) 2x4's, a rock, a tow strap, and a sign post that i just cleanly leveled. good times

helped a FWD friend @ 2am pull his junker outta a deep drift... testing my tow straps stretch strength(s*3 there), had to get speed before hand because the road was solid ice. 12k lbs strap with ~5k load worked beautifully, yeah for import tie down hooks ! We ended up warping his exhaust hanger hook, but he was thankful for getting out, even though it was around 4am.
