What's up guys? I just moved here from PA a few months ago but still haven't gotten out to any Subaru events or anything. There seems to be a decent Subaru crowd in the area but mostly newer WRX/STi from what I've seen. Not many Foresters yet! I had been eyeballing my SG9 for about 6 years before I bought it from a friend. I finally convinced him to sell it when he bought a '15 Foz. I had the color picked out before I even bought the car! It helps being a paint guy - it's easy to switch things up and get away from bland Subaru colors! I sprayed the whole car about a year and a half ago. I built the lift and the front and rear winch/hitch bumpers around the same time. The latest things I did before my move were the full black leather interior swap with 08/09 LGT front seats and the headlight retrofit. It's going to suck not having anywhere to work on car stuff for a while, but eventually I'll get some space again (I hope!) I'm into mountain biking and skiing and I try to get out as much as I can. If anyone wants to go do anything cool outside, let me know!
I dig it! Welcome! Are you into camping? Keep an eye out for the annual LaXCruise in the event section. Cruise, food, raffle prizes of Subaru swag, and camping w/shenanigans! -Josh
I am! I have been digging around through the forum and saw a lot of references to it. I'll definitely get in on that. Looks like this might be the last year due to the slower pace of the forum?
Unfortunately, sounds that way... forums are failing all over as everyone apparently migrates to Facebook more and more. Oh and welcome, car looks great!
We shall see. The cruise has been happening every year since 2007. You will enjoy it, I have a good feeling. Also, Goose Island Campgrounds where we camp has fantastic canoeing and kayaking areas. If you are into that as well. Also also, fishing is good too. Hopefully you can join us!
I’m pretty sure that I spotted you heading northbound on 35e by Ayd Mill Rd. a day or two ago. Maybe Tuesday morning? Looked fantastic rolling down the highway!
