hello all, i just made the jump from vw to subaru, i've been really happy with the 1.8t passat 5spd. only mods were drop in k&n and cat back ex. can't beat the 33mpg. but i've heard great thing about the subaru. so i found a great deal on a 2006 wrx wagon, 58,000 miles. i flew my unemployed friend out to portland or. to drive it back for me. as you probably now it's had to find a low mile wrx in mn for a good price. most have high miles or a ton of mods. and a nice price tag to go with it. i am looking to do a mild mod. exhaust, tune and intake, just want it to breath better and get the best mpg to hp rating. i will post pictures when it get above freezing. i commute from watertown to maple grove daily. see you on the road..
Welcome! Poke around the site a bit, there is some good info as well as very savvy members when it comes to subarus here.
Welcome to the site! Looking forward to see pics of the Portland transplant. Portland = good beer:cheers2: Any pics of the Passatt? I'm an ex-VW guy as well.
Welcome aboard. The beauty of boosted cars is that they behave quite well, mpg wise, until you ask them to misbehave. Ex-audi 1.8t guy here myself.
welcome to the board. I would post what you would like to do to your car when you have money and BEFORE you buy the parts. For example, the WRX isn't a car that you would want to just drop an intake on. I am not sure if your year has a silencer on the intake.... but the amount of air allowed into your motor from the stock intake is going to work until you get into heavy mods. There are other options for the air filter, but lets hold off on that until you are ready to work on the car. Welcome! there are a lot of people here that are happy to help and give advice.
Ah, I just noticed that you're from Watertown. I'm in St. Boni so I would bet we'll see eachother on 7. :wavey:
Welcome and maybe i'll see ya round the Grove. UGM 07 wrx wagon here :wavey: Search "Grocery Getter" for my mod list/pictars
