Good Morning to all. I just joined and have been reading a lot on all the different Subaru forums. Trying to get up to speed on these cars. Mine is a 07 Outback XT. I needed a daily driver. It took a while to find what I was looking for as it is hard to find a lower mile Outback XT here in Minnesota.

I have a few upgrades already sitting in my garage, just trying to find the right turbo. Hope to meet a few of you this summer at one of the meets. leecheater

    Welcome! Outback XT's are cool.
Rut roh. What size turbo are you looking for? Just generic warning to noobs to turbo subarus: read a lot and understand how the car works before modifying, a proper tune from a GOOD tuner cannot be emphasized enough, and if you are planning on getting a bigger turbo be prepared for everything to break lol. Especially your transmission (depending on how you drive) and engine (depending on power level and the prevailing winds of bad karma).
Check your oil level a lot and change frequently. Sacrifice a goat to the EJ gods. You know, the normal stuff.

Nibbs, I am new here but not new to turbocharged cars and trucks and know the value of research and also of a good tune. This is the billet 67 wheel on my Supra. Last tune was put on by local Subaru tuner. Planning to get her dyno'd in near future once we have the new sumped gas tank back in position.

Thinking of upgrading to a rebuilt VF-52. I don't want to have to upgrade injectors. I have been told it is a nice improvement over the stock one. Don't want to sacrifice dependability. with down pipe, up pipe and slightly better turbo, I will be happy for a bit.

Probably won't drive the Subaru much this summer if the 240 runs as good as she did last summer.

I bought the 240 several years ago. Since them we added a LSD, better tires. She's old and has rattles and vibrations but never had a car that gets so many compliments. She is a build 280 with higher compression, 292 cams, better tires. Never seen snow.

How about a fp 68hta? I've got one that I'm debating using, you would have to go external wastegate and a different tmic, or fmic

Ryan FailRad, I am not familiar with that turbo but a quick search makes me think it is too big for my simple upgrade. The day may come but I really plan on just mild upgrade. No new waste gate of intercooler.
