another oil leak

i knwo subaru has some issues with oil leaks, however i though ti had solved all mine by replacing oil pump and valve cover seal in febuary.

now it seems i have another one. i have lost approx. 1 qt of oil since i last changed (1 month /1000 milea ago).

i can see oil drip marks on the inner side of the driver side header. i am wondering if maybe my valve cover has looswnd up being it is only held on by 3 bolts. or if i have a new leak.

the fact tthat it is on the inside of the head scares me because, it could be coming from the head where it meets the block. (unsure, i think this would be worst case)

any ideas?

this morning i check teh three bolt son the driver side valve cover and they were all tight. i tried the bolt on the oil filler thign to, and same luck.

the entire drivers side valve cover is covered in oily goo. this includes the top portion of it, so i dont know if that can help me locate the leak or not. just guessing if the leak was on teh bottom the top of the cover wouldnt be all nasty but that oil can really move around in there.

 

its your filler tube o-ring very easy to replace, mine is leaking too, but not really bad

 

FYI if it was a honda this wouldn't happen...

 

FYI hondas leak worse then any other car, oil pan gasket, and front main seal...wtf is your deal! i feel a banning coming on

 

yeah right it would of happend soon after u got the honda

 

hondas dotn leak but they dont wear matching colours on their primered bodykits either.. heh e
