please change it to something lower .. maybe 15 seconds?

 

agreed, i hate having to wait like that

 

double posting now is not quite as fun

 

make it so you have to beat an easy level game of minesweeper before each post. so depending on how smart you are, you get to post faster

I have never run into that problem. I don't think 30 seconds is too long to wait between posts. This forum isn't really meant for real-time chat, IM or IRC would work better for that.

 

it's not like "chatting"
it's going into one thread, typing 90 words a minute, posting, and then opening another thread, typing again at 90 wpm, and trying to post something in that thread. Also, i read very fast and usually scroll past the "useless" posts

maybe I type too fast? i donno .. but I'm obviously not the only one irritated with it.

I'm not sure if it's a new setting or not or what the possible options are for it since I'm not an admin. But, maybe it could be changed to only make you wait for reposting in the same thread...

Oh yeah, and you should remove the "search" function, since it obviously doesn't do any good.

 

I think that the search function can only be as effective as the person operating it. which is why it usually takes me a really long time to find what I'm looking for.....if I find it at all.




oh, and I think I know the solution to the repost problem.......get slower internet. I never have that problem. I spend most of the 30 seconds waiting for pages to load. add in a few for reading, and a few more for typing. no problems.
