Duh...If I go down I'm bringing Dizzy with me! Remember the time you and I broke into Best buy and stole all the bluetooth wireless headsets...and sold them to Pawn America and that was how you paid for your Rota Subz. All that reef diving vacation thang was a cover-up...hehe

Everyone, I was just kidding...do not call Dispatcher Brian

What kind of TV is it? Depending, it's often cheaper to replace than repair if it's a Plasma, LCD, or DLP (don't hold me to this). I think that CRT's are the only ones that are really cost-effective to repair. A DLP might be but it would be like car repair. Just pull out the broken unit and replace.

Again, I'm not 100% on this.

    Hitachi 60in. LCD UV
1st Gen LCD. 2 yrs. old

You are correct, it is cheaper to replace than to fix...The dam bulb replacement every 3 yrs. cost like $300-$400 to replace and reinstall.

    LCD?! Ewww.

Hope your going to a Samsung 1080p DLP or Sony's SXRD. Samsung has a new DLP coming out with a LED engine.:yumyum:

    Samsung - DLP
    Sony - SXRD

Those are the only 2 manufacturers i'd even look at. Unless you want a plasma, then go with Panasonic. Trust me, I know. I calibrate my own TV's and done a few of my friends. My home theater costs more than my car:(

I'm looking at the SXRD, I paid a crap load for mine 2 yrs. ago. I'm not a big fan of Samsung...Just the brand, I know that Samsung merged with Sony in one of there huge facilities. So hopefully they are interchanging parts as well. For some reason I'm not a big fan of Panasonic either, but I know they are good. Maybe it is the design...I think Sony has one of them best designed TVs overall LCD, plasma, etc.
From researching the Sony SXRD is clearer than the plasmas ,plasmas has 720p and the LCD sony has 1080p. Of course in a straight viewing view...Just don't take any angles watching in an LCD or DLP.

SXRD, good man.:) Those are some beautifull picture sets. Samsung just has the most solid DLP set out there at this point. Same with the Panasonic Plasma(not that i like them) there only good for the bling factor. SXRD and DLP look better imo and are cheaper for the most part.

And well, my hobbies come in flavors. Reef Tanks, Home Theater, Car Audio, Cars, etc. Home Theater was flavor of the month a few years ago. Right now everything is in storage untill we find a house to live in:( Reef tank is taking a back seat to the car. But now the car will be taking a back seat to the house...

I go in cycles. Kinda sucks for the wallet hehe
