    ***EDIT BY SUBIE LOVERS***

I'm sick of every thread turning in to "Ricer this Ricer that" OR I like rice.

From here on out that sh*t belongs here... not any where else... If you would like to make a comment in another thread please just post a link to this thread and post it it... enough is enough.

I just move the next 20 or so post from a perfectly good thread to clean it up and I'm not happy about it in any way.

I knew it! I got the flybys on my way home from church on 694. There was a red Porsche or RX7 or something that blasted up right in front of me and shot a 3 foot fireball at my bumper. And a gold/brown Mustang that kept downshifting to hear his exhaust. Slid over to the slowlane and tried to avoid the tards all the way home. Felt like i was leaving Firestone Friday night and being attacked by Hondafanbois.

What time do they usually leave? I'll make sure to leave earlier or stay longer next Monday.

    Not for everyone...

I tried a couple RKC monday nights. The members I encountered put way too much effort into hitting as many knuckle-dragging car enthusiast stereotypes possible for my taste. Not my crowd. I'll stick to MNGG Wednesdays and MNS events.

From what i saw of the people leaving there and skreet racing down 694(and trying to drive up my ass and along side of me to "intimidate" me)...i'll pass. Thanks tho. I reserve my car nights for Tuesday at Calhoun and Friday for Firestone. Don't know why, but the Subaru guys/gals do alot less "showboating" at our events. I specifically stopped going to the Wednesday night Sonic meet because of the BOV's whistling out of the parking lot at WOT. I've become too old for C&C, Sonic, and RK meets. But i'm cool with that. And "come out..." is exactly what i think about those guys, lullz.

I go to church on Sundays, Monday nights, and sometimes on Wednesdays too. To be on topic, i took my Subaru to church yesterday and parked it next to a sexy red 05 Legacy with black rims and red 'time attack style' lips on it.

Exactly, the knuckledraggers were in full affect on 694...i should have written down their plate #'s and called the cops. It's like the Boost for Boobies turnout, only every week!

The thing that sucks is that i enjoy car events with a good variety of cars. I like almost anything when it's tastefully done. But 90% of the time it's the people and their attitudes, aka small penis compensation techniques, that really persuade me from participating at those events. There really just need to be more events that have old guys at them, they tend to no longer care how small their peniss' are and have no need to prove that their cars are the bees knees. lol

Well, what else could it be other than Small Peen Compensation? Lack of intelligence...too much testosterone...too many nights huffing paint...dropped on their heads too many times...all of the above?

I'll just take their plates down next week and contact the local PD with them. That way, if they get some tickets in the mail, maybe they'll be "less retarded" the next week. Just waiting for the day that they cause a serious accident and give the "car scene" a boost in popularity in the TC's.

I think it's the lack of dumb subaru marketing team for not promoting what a subaru really is, like turbo charge, best awd, rally monsters that when people on the road see a subaru, they think it's a import with tape on hood scoop. Idk but everybody seem to always drive faster around me, like they got something to prove when i'm always going 5mph over the speed limit. this 1 stupid lady on the slow lane started to speed up in her saturn after i switched lane(20yrds)behind her, then I peeled out and she started tailing me, i finally dust her and then at the stop light she takes out a pen and paper! really?!

well, she should've flash me instead! lol it's just frustrating to see subaru commercials that have nothing to do with subarus, while mazda are claiming the zoom zoom sharp turns and curvy roads. i never see a subaru comercial that do what we do on the daily bases as in doing 90 on 45mph curves, driving like it's summer in snow storms or other weathers that make the other cars go from 60 to 45! and i get to many stupid questions on how good are those 3m tape on my hood scoop! haha i always lift my engine up and say, it's a fully functional scoop dumb ass! Again subaru marketing, oh yeah and the cars or trucks that always try to prove something on slippery days, like i'm a ricer that can't handle these conditions. plz....see ya, thank u come again:byebye:

This thread is not to complain about Ricers "Josh" :cough: or prove how much of a Ricer you really are "KEN GLOCK TURBO" :cough: It's about where you took your Subaru today... Make your complaints/comments in the tread regarding that specific meet in our event section... Also Subaru has great commercials I know someone who is in charge of developing them... They are very effective at reaching their target market... Families... and many of those are geared toward safety on curve and snow covered roads... And even some outdoor mountain type roads and settings… If I see another post that is not on topic in this thread from anyone I will be handing out points and deleting any of the off topic posts.

    ***EDIT***
this was originally posted in a different thread and moved here to clean things up.

I can kind of read what you typed there, but not really.:p I took mine to Sheens lastnight to try to dry out the trunk. Then taped it off the spoiler and used black silicone adhesive to seal it. And ricers are ghey, btw.

    Lolumad?

Utah? that's where the Subaru superstore is, maybe Utah could appreciate Subaru, but definitly none of these commercial even close to this ever air in MN! now this would be awesome if it actually air in MN. the only 1 i could appreciate was when a subaru had mud on it and it started to rain, and the caption says something like the only time a subaru get wash is in the rain. ok subie lover, I'm finish lol. maybe my debadged subaru on the back trunk isn't helping either, except i got mnsubaru on it.

Subaru doesn't gear advertising towards wannabe drifters and rallyers or boy racers because there's no money in it. I'm pretty sure, if they did a commercial where some jackass spoke on camera like you type on forums, and then "peeled out" around some woman in rush hour traffic, they would not only lose money in new car sales, they'd likely see a bunch of Subaru owners sell their cars so as not to be associated with that level of stupid.

I guess truck commercials should stop advertising towards wannabe construction workers or big haulers, a subaru is a "subaru", a truck is a truck, they're meant to handle certain things, so let it all out. i buy a subaru for it's AWD system to handle MN weather and the power to avoid accidents like merging in traffic quicker, i mean if hey, ya wanna baby a beast then get a corolla. ford escape are doing commercials doing donuts in the snow! and bmw/mercedes are peeling out and around other cars in their commercials, just saying that people see a subaru and think it's a grandma driving or the higher end model and think its a hyndai with a glue on hood scoop. trust me i educate co workers everyday about my subaru-no thanks to subaru's lack of advertising. my boss goes "it's snowing hard tommorrow, you think you're gonna make here with your car?" really? only if subaru educated him with real subaru commercials, that's just 1/3 of the examples.

What about a bunch of subaru's new commercials (not really new) that have the sti drifting around with peoples reactions in the car? I'm sure Subaru covers many bases with many commercials you just may not have seen them all yet. P.s. sorry if I'm way off on this only read the post before this and jumped in

Really? "rice" was this much of a problem here? Enough to make a thread about it? I'm calling BS.

As for C&C, its easily the least rice of all the events, and most grownup. Money CAN buy manners.

I think a much bigger problem on this site is sideways hats, skinny jeans, ASSANINE wheel color, and general bro-bro tronics, not "rice" comments, and the slow creeping in of "hella flush"

    @Glock_turbo..

Correct me if i'm wrong guys but wasn't Subaru the best selling company of 2010 or 2011? They must be doing something right with advertising.

I also think that consumer reports just rated the new Impreza at #1. With Toyota being in second for 2012 models.

They werent the best selling, they are still the only car maker that has beaten its previous years sales record for the last 4 or 5 years. Yes, the marketing is working just fine.
