I might take a look at this 06 Aspen White STi this weekend. Its at Suburban Chevrolet in Eden Prairie...by the vehicle history, its had 3 owners and it looks like the last owner had it registered in Elk River. Anyone know who's this was or any history on it? http://www.suburbanchev.com/Vehicle..._STi_w/Gold_Wheels-Eden_Prairie-MN/1793333603 Thanks!
Ha exactly... Plus, this is not exactly what I'm looking for, as I would prefer 100% stock (esp if it is from a dealer), only one owner, know all the history, etc. Who knows what kind of tune this thing has or any prior mods. They are asking $25,985...if they are willing to work on the price, I guess I'd consider it. Ideally I'd like to find an 06-07 AW STi, about 60k miles with the 60k service done, stock (or stage 2 at the most) and around the $20k price range...much like 1_sic_rex's car...that just sold.
Sophie bought her car there... they didn't due much for coming down on the price... Also don't let them detail the exterior the swirl marks were horable... She took it back twice to have them try and fix it. Oh and they filled it up... with 87 good thing is they gave her a good price on trade That's All
Oh, that's really good to know actually, thanks man! Maybe they'll give me a good trade in on the saabaru, then I wouldn't have to deal with trying to sell it...
do I really need to explain why that is no where near the same thing, and why you contradict yourself? For starters...mods void that false sense of security warranty...and wrx does not equal sti. Ok I'm done ranting
I never had warranty issues due to mods on my Stg 2 '02 or Stg 3 '07. Will just have to respectfully disagree with you comparing an '06 STi to a '12 WRX - comes down to your ultimate goals and intended use (DD or track/AutoX queen). I support any rationalization necessary to get another Suby!
Yea, I know that some people still have luck with their warranties after mods, but its not "guaranteed." As far as goals...def won't be a DD...mainly autox and showing up to weekly meets. Although a stage 2 '12 WRX would have about the same power, if not more, than an STi, you still don't have the stronger 6 speed, limited slip diff's, super cool massive wing (kidding), etc.
I went and took a look at this car last night. The exhaust is a HKS hipower cat back. It apears that the stock downpipe is still intact. Paint and body is overall decent condition but I beleive the front bumper has been replaced/painted and Subaru AW is even worse than the standard colors in terms of quality. stock tires on powder coated black bbs, Brakes/pads seems ok but to hard to tell by looking in. Interior appeared OK.
