So I've been seriously considering just abandoning the DSM 16g that I picked up for cheap and going out and buying a new Forced Performance 18g. This is because the 16g should be rebuilt, and I would need to buy the subie exhaust housing for it, so by the time I did that, I'd only be a little cheaper than a new one anyway. So what do you guys know about forced performance 18g's? Are they a good company, is there anything I should watch out for? Anything you can add about them would be great. thanks a lot. *edit: here's the site: http://www.jscspeed.com/wrx/turbo/mits_turbos.htm
Second that. Go 16G or 20G. I personally would not buy anything smaller then a 20G. But hey I am just power hungry.
Mugen makes a really nice turbo, I think its called the JD-M2. with supporting mods (intake, sts) you should hit 500whp pretty easily
Well the 20g is just too far out of budget right now. Does any one know how the spool/power band of the 16g-evo3 compares to the 18g? they are the same price.
because in all your posts so far you have had nothing of any reasonable knowledge or value to add to this forum..... and everything you have posted is just plain DUMB!
Mugen makes subie parts? http://www.mugen-power.com/en/index.html LOL. All your base are belong to us.
do u have any mugen parts in your leggie!?! or r u just honda accord rebadged into a Subaru? with your Mugen Parts...WTF!?!
I am running the 4eat, so my setup is a bit different, but I think I am right around 20psi about 34-3500 rpm. It is tough to tell since the converter slips, so it is tough to put a good load on the motor under 4000rpm. Stop out at firestone and I can take ya for a ride. Russ
well if a 18g spools at 3500rpm on a 2.0L, it would spool a little bit sooner on my 2.2l. So a 16g would probably spool below 3000rpms then I think? I like the idea of spooling around 3k, but how much would that hurt my top end?
Wewll, between a big 16g (evo II or the Db monster), topend will be really close. The 18g flows around 600cfm and the big 16g's are 550-575, but you will have a 3-400+ rpm quicker spool. Russ
