Hey all, I'm trying to diagnose a rough idle in my 05 Legacy GT. I've come to the point where I need to log a couple of parameters to try and figure it out (AVCS, misfires, etc.); in doing my research it seems that the ebay cables are hit and miss. Rather than buy a couple and hope to get one that works I was hoping to find someone that already had a working one and had logged a car before; I'd be more than happy to buy a case of beer if anyone could help me out! I'm in the SW metro if it matters; though I was planning to come to you. Thanks!
I've used both Curly's and Shibb's mom's vag-coms. It's not bad but it's a bit dry. It seems to take a bit too long to get warmed up then afterwords it makes a horrible sound. I'd try a new model. I heard going to particular western burbs bars can produce older, slightly more experinced vag-coms for the cheap price of a case of beer. Best of luck on your search for a good vag-com. P.S. try bars around the lakes, I heard they're the best. BRO-BUMP.
