Anyone know any personal athletes? I'm getting to watch the Boston Bruins vs. Colorado Avalanche game and it will be Blake Wheeler's first game with the Bruins. I grew up playing hockey with/against him. Also, I played hockey with Peter Mueller (of the Phoenix Coyotes) older brother!!!!! I'm only 22 and I played hockey with his older brother...wtf! Makes me wonder what would've happened if I had made the choice to play juniors instead of go to college
went to school with a few of the Olympic swimmers in Australia.. My brother was int eh same training Institute for swimming... also the Aussie Soccer captain beat up a guy who tried to hit on my girlfriend back in college.. man whats his name.. hold on Mark something... Mark Viduka.. also played local league basketball with the players from teh local NBL (OZ NBA) players.. you dont know how much you suck at a game until you play against a professional.. ha ha
ha hah a yeah... he was a big guy even back then.. I had only been hanging out with him w=and the other WOGS ethnics... for a couple for weeks.. he was at teh Australian Institute of Sport where my brother in-law was also being trained for olympics for swimming... also my wife and her friends spent a couple of days traveling Australia with Grant Hacketts 2 friends.. Aussie Gold medal swimmer... I was friends with a few of the olympic Gold medalists in swimming.. friend is really a stretch.. I was winged in under my bro -inlaw... ha haha.. pretty much 90% of the olympic athletes and NBL players train or are trained at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra where my dad works.. and the old coach of the olympic swim team was our next door neighbor.. ha ha
I lived next door to Maroney back @ the U. Oh and he made fun of me while I was working security for the U....lol
I worked with someone, I think his name was Adam, who got drafted into the NHL while he was working with me. It was back in 2002 or 2003.
My wife was in a class at Marquette with Dwayne Wade. I was kinda seeing a girl once and she stopped calling...I later found out it was because she was busy chillin' with Nick Barnett, lol.
Oh, I should mention I met Trent Klatt (played hockey with his nephew) and also I had Paul Broten as a coach for a AAA team.
wow lets see here i live a 1/4 mile away from a former kicker for the chiefs chip lohmiller super bowl ring, was coached by sean chambers stanley cup winner for dallas stars, used to play golf with eric strobel....remember miracle on ice yea. also got my wisdom teeth taken out by bill baker also miracle team, and met herb brooks. ive also met many pro something or another, got to try on monte kiffens super bowl ring(defensive cord for tampa bucs) met christy yamagoooochi (lol dont know how to spell it) and her husband brett hettigan, and thats just to name a few.
I used to hang out with Filip Kuba while he was playing with the Wild. So then I got to meet a bunch of his player friends. Since then, I have talked to or met most of the Wild players (last years team) from the road trips and such. My GF's boss is a big sports nut (and rich), so he has a bunch of people coming over to the office and hang out all the time. Couple of weeks ago (about training camp time), she went out to lunch with Boogaard and some of his friends, and she has met Kevin Garnett and some of the other t-wolves players. Russ
My dad played Pro Soccer for Manchester United, Crystal Palace and stoke city before he came to the states and played for the Minnesota Kicks, Tampa Bay Rowdies and Cleveland Crunch.

Ya, he has a STI. He would always ship it back home for the summer, and 2 summers ago, he just left it there and converted the lights to meet their laws. Funny thing, I have all the parts from that blown up motor.:laugh: He was running a greddy e-manage and a greedy ebc and nothing to compensate for timing. IIRC he was running the apr sr50 turbo with fmic and the rest of the supporting mods, just no engine mgmt. So I pulled all the stuff out, and installed a utec for him (before ap's and open ecu) and tuned that. Russ

I dated his sister, so i didnt really know him, But i do know John Lackey from the angels. My brother is friends with him.
i know or have known a few... my favorite is Aaron Tholey, he is a professional paintball player that i have had the pleasure of shooting out many times

i have known David Fisher from the minnesota gophers since me and him were in 1st grade, he won Mr. Hockey in 2006 and i believe he signed for a pro team last year? cant recall what team..
In third grade(87)I told everyone at school Kent Hrbek was my uncle. I even made my own autographed cards to prove it:biggrin:

My cousin is dating Matt Garza...former pitcher for the Twins, current pitcher for the soon-to-be World Series Champion Tampa Bay Devil Rays. They have been going out for over a year now. A buddy at work has pretty much every T-Wolves players number(he's been the ballboy for about 7 years). As for me, no, because I suck.
