I recall seeing this for sale on CL about 2-3 months ago. The owner never did post it to MNSubaru so I doubt he/she is a member.

Forget it. Don't buy from Clement's. They're well known by local enthusiasts to be complete ****ups.

On closer inspection, definitely leave that car out of your mind.
2008 WRXs were a sorry in-between kind of car. If you really want a GR style, hold out for a 2009. More power and better handling.
The 2009 WRX turbo was quite a bit bigger. This car will have needed to be tuned to accommodate for it, and somehow I doubt that was addressed.
Likewise, head work is pretty elaborate stuff for Clement's to be taking on. Definitely walk on this, let some other sucker take on that headache.

Bummer. It's in completely pristine condition, save a few scratches on the interior plastics.

    New HG, new TB, etc.

    Thanks, everybody.

Don't regret it too much. I'd put dollars to pesos that they **** something up in the process and ruin it.

Yeah...it "skipped timing" and crushed the valves right after the HG job.

Lol sounds like they didn't know how to properly fix it and will likely **** up the second repair job worse...if they cant do the HG I wouldn't trust them to touch anything in the valvetrain!

It's Crotchester, what can you expect? Might as well be St. Cloud ;)
