So who own/race RC Cars? I think it'll be fun to have a RC challenge event for RC owners. I gota Tamiya TT-01 Chassis(but needs new motor) w/some upgrades. What you guys have?
I had an AE RC-10 with a Paris Racing Novarossi motor and a HPA Savage but I sold them both to buy subwoofers ... dumbest thing I've ever done. I had close to $1200 into my RC-10 ... I want another one!!!!
I got a rwd stadium truck gas powered that hasn't run in 2 years. My brother decided to overhaul the motor and it hasn't worked since. Thinkin about selling it as is
That would be pretty cool. I have a hpi rs4 3 NITRO set up for drifting. And i have rc18T with no mods, but that thing is indestructible and is fast as hell
I don't have anything for racing really....but I've got a drift Xmod, and a few crawlers. and then there's the boat I'm building: 50" long, 18" wide, to be powered by a 25cc McCullough Weed Eater motor.....should be capable of 30mph+
I have a Traxxas Emaxx with monster maxx motors, pretty fast for a big heavy truck, would be fun to set up some races!
I have the HPI nitro rs4 and i just recently got the HPI MT2 thats my favorite. mowed a little track in my backyard and built a few jump to spice it up a bit!
i've got a few rc10 b3 highly modded rs4 pro 3 modded bolink 10th scale funny car and top fueler...both insane fast...70mph in 130ft and a bunch of other cars that have been stripped and turned into mutts love to get together and beat on em somtime..if i don't break somthing, i'm not havin fun
i used to race a ntc3 at the hobbytown parking lot race on wednesday nights in hopkins, was lots of fun.
I have a Traxxas nitro rustler that I bought for $50 and it orginally had a .15 motor until I blew it up so then I bought a .18 and threw it in there and it moves pretty good. But now the throttle is all messed up so now when I start it, it is like full throttle when it really shouldnt be. I am thinking that I am going to have to bring it somewhere and have someone look at it because I cant figure it out.
lol, i have an old kyosho raider from back in the day with a slightly bigger motor/resistor... pretty sad. love to get into a nice 4wd monster skinned in swrt beauty at some point.
I've had a few nitro engines, cars and planes, can probably straighten it out if you didn't mind me looking at it....
No, I dont have a problem with you looking at it. And it probably would be cheaper than if I was to bring it somewhere.
I have a Losi XXX-NT, a Tamiya Terra Crusher, and a Dynatrax AWD road car aka Hockey puck. 65+...if you can keep it on the road.
Own - yes Race - no I've owned a Traxxas Stampede for god knows how many years, 10-12 maybe and an Associated TC3 for around 4-5 years. They've mostly been a hobby for me, just driving them around outside, no racing. Both currently are in need of some part replacement, mostly just stripped screw holes, had the back of the Stampede held together with some dog chain for a while, lol. I just need to get around to ordering new parts and getting them back in running shape again. Most notable aspects: I've pretty much exclusively run my cars with a 10 cell battery pack, fast but burned through motors. I've had a Lehner brushless setup(Basic 4200 motor and 1670(?) ESC) and for about as long as I've had the TC3. At 12V, it puts out around 3/4HP and 50-60mph out of either vehicle isn't much of a problem. Not too many are willing to chuck out $300 for an ESC and motor, lol, but it's oh so worth it. ...used to be an active member on www.RCMT.net and www.maxxtraxxusa.com under the name Pedeforever back in the pre/early 2000s.
I still have my old AYK/RacePrep Radiant circa ~1989! It was the most badass car in its day! (in 80's speak ) Too bad they used a wacky hub that you had to screw into, as opposed to using a nut to attach the wheels. Now I have a useless car as one of the wheels broke.
