They used to have 3 different tracks at this shop they used to have in brooklyn center when i used to have my stampede. maybe someday ill get back into it.
I saw this online: http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radi...ad-(xv)-36180/rc-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-58528
I've liked some of the products that tamiya has released. I wonder what motor they are using in that thing. The nostalgia is coming back to me. I don't remember replacing all the servo's i managed to break when my buddy and i went on the off road track. Good times.
Thats pretty funny! The video on their site looks awesome. Hell, might as well spend money on that car. Lord knows I spend enough on the grown up version
I used to have a traxxas stampede and a clod buster. my buddy had a couple buggies from team associated which were pretty darn quick. I think he had like a 6T motor in that thing. it got up to 65+ mph. he used to race cars down the road. lol
I've got a few rc cars. I dip into it every now and then when the real cars get expensive.. then I realize how much I'm putting into a toy and tame it down again. lol. I've got a nitro rush (gas) and a couple electric toys. losi mini monster truck, 4 tec and an ooooold traxxas spirit.
I have a few also. Got a traxxas revo, an electric e maxx that was brushless set up but went back to stock for the kids. A real old team losi buggy. Then a big piece of brand new yet many year old X factor 4x4 truck.
One of my buddies and his brother race there. I checked it out once and seemed like a good time! Mike
Oh man I haven't raced RC cars in a long time but I still have all my old cars and boat at my parents house! I have been meaning to fire them back up but have been distracted by my real car. I have a .21 Nitro powered OFNA buggy and a couple electric Traxxas trucks and the Traxxas Nitro-Vee boat. So much fun back in the day.
just bought my 2 boys a 1/18th ECX ruckus each.. I picked up a barely used (3times) Armma Granite for $50 and a Losi for $90.. tomorrow is gonna be a fun Christmas day even if it snows... Hoping to build a sweet rc track in my yard.. the pit bike track will do for a bit... I plan on something like this.... this is from the city I moved here from
I don't have the hand eye coordination to race so I turned to this. Pretty much the most expensive hobby imaginable, that's about $1500 to $2000. Not to mention I got lazy and excited to get it running so I didn't ever clear coat it or get the side windows glued in.
If that truck is $2k I don't even want to think how much those replica RC battleships cost that have working cannons and all kinds of crazy ****...
I was looking at an RC drift car for Christmas. Newp. That's real-car money once you're setup with everything you need including controllers/etc.
Surly you should really just get something used. The RC transmitter/receiver and speed controller technology was plenty sophisticated even 10 years ago and you can swap that stuff into a newer chassis if you want a nicer drift platform. My old nitro setup a from back in the day would even stop itself from going out of radio transmitter range and had electric ignition and everything.
I've never seen a kit for the battle ships but I think those are typically custom built, or they buy model ships and convert them into rc. But I do know that the scale tanks are crazy spendy, like 2 grand without any electronics if I remember correctly!
Ive been watching the jet plane rc's.. now that is some expensive **** there... you can get RTR's for under $500 that do well over 60mph... pricey but still cheap being people here spend a couple hundred on a STi spoiler swap that does nothing for them... just saying
