Anybody want this hitch?...free

Yea it's pretty rusted, but I have a hard time throwing anything away.

Looks exactly like the one I took off my 02 WRX (except the rust).

 

I'm curious if i'll fit my Forester. Rust scares me not. :biggrin: You got a part number for the thing? If it does fit my Forester, I'll grab it from ya.

 

Will it fit a Legacy wagon? (97 BG or 03BH) If so I'll take it, if it doesn't fit Back Road Runner's Forester.

 

It's off a '98 2.5RS. I tried putting it on my '04 WRX and it didn't fit.

 

if it dosnt fit an 04 wrx im guessing it wont fit my 02 rs right?

 

Woohoo, then it may fit my 02 Forester...being based off the older RS. I'm just not sure if there's issues with the rear bumper and if they end up making a second, different hitch for the Forester.

Brand/model number?

 

I bought a hitch for the foester i had (98) took it off and checked part numbers to see the difference for the one for the (98 OBS) the guy at morries BP said there was 1 different number so i don't think it can be that different.

 

Ill try and get a part number later today

 

theres no part number but there is a sticker on it that says:

RIGID HITCH
Max Gross Load - 2000lbs
Max Tongue Weight - 200 lbs
Rigid Hitch Incorporated Burnsville MN

 

The company does give two different part numbers between the 98 RS and my 02 Forester.

1998 RS : RT-359
02 Forester: RT-362

I can't say if there's actually any difference. It may sit a touch lower to clear the bumper or it may just be numbered different to track who's buying.

I shot them an e-mail asking the difference.

 

Well its still up for grabs. Feel free to help me find an sti exhaust in the mean time haha
