alright i need to try and get my issue figured out, i thought i had it solved, found out the front o2 sensor was not in communication with the other one, so we hooked up a honda denso 4-wire o2 with a bad heater in my car and the problem went away. so i ordered a new subaru oem front o2 put it in and it ran crappy again. so i have been running the honda o2 since then with it running pretty good.

i need help figureing out what is going on and i'm not sure who is capable of helping, i don't want to go to a dealer and get harassed because the car is swapped, but all the wiring is all 02 wrx and everything else works the way it is supposed too.

so if you can help or know someone who can that would be greatly appeciated.

here is my other thread for my setup and symtoms.

no sir, but if the coils were bad it would not matter which o2 sensor was plugged in they would be misfiring no matter what.:)

well i just atleast am looking for another brain to help since i'm kinda lost on things here.

i am also going to put the egt in, i have to remove the header/uppipe so i can drill a hole for it but i want to put that in and try the new o2 sensor again.

the car has been acting up the last couple of days cutting out when i start getting into boost. my luck i just have some leak somewhere, but i have sprayed everywhere with brake cleaner while the car is running with no fluctuation with the idle though.

the other thing that is confusing the hell out of me the car won't set a code when it acts up even though it definitely should.

could there be something wrong with the ecu? ap?

    My 2 cents

I have a liking to figuring stuff like this out, and at the risk of sounding like a noob I will offer my thoughts.
I'm not positive but if the factory 02s is not heated and you replaced it with a denso H02s the problem may lie in the factory 02s, from what I know a non heated 02s will run closed loop as soon as you turn on your car, where as a H02s will only run closed loop if it reaches a certain temp. The problem may be that because your car is running a H02s in place of a non-heated 02s the Denso 02s is not being adiquatetly heated and may be giving a steady rich or lean signal to the ECU, this may be causing your misfires and cutouts. But, if your CEL is not on the computer thinks everything is all good or it is running open loop constantly which will kill performance. If this were the case it would only explain half of the problem. Why does the factory 02s not work? 1) bad 02s (unlikely but I had it happen with my RS) 2) if you have anything silicone i.e. gaskets, fittings, couplers, RTV ect at any point from your intake to that 02s it may have ruined the sensor. The smallest amount will be sure to ruin the front 02s. Had it happen on my RS.
Anyways, just an idea hope it helps and hope you get it fixed. Good luck

thanks, well i am pretty positive the subaru o2 is heated, since i do get a code with the honda one for the heater being bad. so that shouldn't be the problem.

and silicone is not a problem, i haven't put any on and i only ran the new oem subaru o2 for about 30 min and after it was still causing a problem i took it back out. but with the bad heater the car is of course always running in open loop. but i drove it this way for atleast 300+ miles up in bemidji without a problem and i came back and it's been acting up( i did spray the enigine off when i got back because of all the dust) but it didn't start right after i did that. ?????

not sure if it's bad gas,it didn't start until about 150 miles after my last fill up. i will be picking up a new fuel filter and i might throw in a bit of 110 to clean things out.
