anyone built a good 2.5 without turbo and got big power?

I was wondering if anyone kept their rs na and was able to produce some good horsepower from it? Id so what did you do?

 

nobody on here...check out nasioc. they have a thread about a "high compression frankenstein" i was gonna go that route, it consisted of a phaze 2 2.5 block, with phaze 2 2.2 heads, made the comp ratio around 11.5:1 then he had some custom ground cams, bla bla bla, i guess it could hose a wrx to 60 :shock:

 

there was a thread on RS25 that someone made over 300hp crank with the 2.5L block n/a.

 

the name of the company doesnt come to mind right now, but they did the whole engine up w/ cams and a new intake manfold and the whole works and the car pulled 230s WHP on the dyno. all NA

edit: i tink it might have been TWE (tech works engineering)

 

My old 2001 silver monster would do that

I used to be n/a all the way but realized its not cost effective...for what you would spend tweaking the na you could have an engine swap!

 

Techworks and zzyzx motorsports have a 230 WHP NA car. It runs race gas, and isnt streetable.

The torque curve is sickening though.
