The 2005 STI we have at the dealership has a rattle in the rear when making turns. Has anyone else experienced this? It's completely stock except for the perrin rear sway bar. Everthing is tight as well. Any help would be great. Thanks :D

What direction, right/left or both? I suppose you already checked the exhaust?

what he said, also i've noticed some clicking in my rear suspension (05 STi) that i think is due to the shocks sticking as they travel. I think I've read about it on Nasioc, i think all you need to do is lube up the shaft.

I just have a hard time thinking you have to lube the shaft of a shock on a fairly new vehicle... thats plain wierd to me

Remove Perrin sway bar, install stock sway bar.

So replacing the sway bar with a stock one is what you did? I think we'll end up selling as is then. Thanks for the help.

I have had 3 or 4 customers with this problem. Not sure if yours is the same. Kinda hard to diagnose over the forums...... But. The harder poly bushings must be greased. Once the grease wears out of the bushing and they get dirty, they will make noise. Also you will weaken the sway bar if you do not keep them greased. the sway bar will start to wear at the bushing. I had one customer who rode in the trunk while I drove to try and find the "squeek" And yes he is on this forum.............. haha

if it starts getting worse, expecially at low speeds over small bumps, then have your struts replaced.
i blew both rears before 30k..

also, iirc there are a few points back in the rear that look like good jack points but end up bending.. i think is was on of the '02 guys that figured this out.

Ok today I actually had some time to really look for the problem on this car and found that the left front lower control arm was missing a bolt. I AM SO STUPID. I should have looked closer at it earlier this week. Also the sway bar is the cause of the rear rattle that covered most of the noise coming from the front. Thanks for all the help.
