Hey guys, Wanted to see if anyone else was heading to MAM for the FindthelLine event on August 18th? I'm in if there's more interest than just me.
I'm not sure if I'll have my car done by then. Need my brakes...turbo inlet....put the motor together and swap trannys, swap rear diff. I was really looking forward to this but.....*sigh*.... There's always next year. But I'll miss this opportunity though.
Just make sure you come back with some awsome video-age. LOL That will help motive some people. My schedule is booked for that weekend and my car is going thru some growing pains. At this point it looks like BIR in October will likely be the only high speed event I will be able to attend. Perhaps we'll see the Ariel Atom out there again if they allow it on the track. Anyway I'd be interested in hearing how your trip went and what lines you took to take care of business on the track sideways or not. Enjoy, C
So no one else is going?!?! I'd be willing to go half-zies on a room with someone. It's nice to go with someone else if something bad were to happen - have a ride back. But if no one else is going, i guess I'll have to make other plans for the weekend.
If I weren't being forced against my will to go to a wedding...I'd be up for this. Go to the September event...should be fun...and cooler. Although it looks like this saturday will be 66 degrees...turbo would be much happier.
This event could be fun (assuming it doesn't rain). They're going to limit to 18 cars and go 45 minute sessions, splitting time with a racing team. I really wish I were able to go to this.
did you see some of the pics...a bunch of porsche race cars with the race team that was there. Looked like fun and it sounds like they had a ton of track time. Given my suspension issues at the moment, end of September is tentative...but I'm doing everything in my power to make it happen. If I end up going, it'll likely be with a group of track junkies...so if you're interested, might be able to do relatively cheap lodging for the two day event. Now, back to looking at coilovers...
