Some one charged a bunch of internet **** to me. They are smart. Just hit 30-40 bucks each time. I wonder how many people don't notice? I never use my credit card so it flagged right away.
Right before Pennywise played at the 2002 Warped Tour, some assbite stole my wallet. Then some punk skater douchenozzles return it to me playing the good samaritan act to me. The credit cards and ID's were all missing from my wallet. About 2 weeks later, WellsFargo calls me up and asks me about the two 300 dollar charges to my account being sent to a PayPal type online payment site. I said, "No, I don't have an account." We got the account site on the phone and asked them about the charges, they said they were from such and such account and they couldn't give me the address...after some discussion, he reads over the account again and realizes the account was phony. So he credited 600 back to my account. I promptly told WellsFargo to cancel the card in question....I didn't ask for another card. Fast forward a week, a new credit card arrives in the mail. I didn't ask for the card, so I looked at the web account access, sure enough, another 300 dollar charge! I hadn't even activated the account and there was already a 300 dollar charge. So I call WellsFargo, tell them what happened, and they credit me the 300 back. I tell them NOT to send me another card, and to cancel the account completely. They tell me, "No problem." A week later, I get ANOTHER credit card in the mail. This time, I don't even open the mailer, I call WellsFargo and tell them to cancel whatever account is attached to my name. They tell me the card already has charges. I told them if they send me another card, I'll drive to their offices and shove it right up the ass of the person that approved the release of the card. I told them to annotate that in my file, and put it in bold and italics...the part about the card in the ass. Since then I have had no problems with credit card fraud.
hmm i'm not sure i like you having the same avatar as like 5 people on this forum right now. makes it hard to keep track of who is talking.
Someone tried to rack up my credit card $2000 in France awhile back. I always watch my account online so I caught it right when they began charging.
we have had that quite a few times... they take a while to catch it... sucks when it happens when you are on vacation in Australia and they flag it cause there is suddenly a charge in Australia when the day before there was one in LA... ha ha
I really don't buy much online. If I do I use paypal. Other wise I just use my check card to pay bills.
My dad had about $100 of internet porn charged to his credit card, and accused me at first because I was living with him at the time. They caught the guy and got his money back though, they are getting pretty good at this identity theft protection stuff.
