Brew at the Zoo beer/social event is happening on Friday aug 13 at the MN Zoo. I don't think it's sold out yet. hope to see you there - last year was a blast. (PS Tickets are $55 for free beer / food / music. Come on and support the Zoo! I think they are about a year away from going broke and getting bought out by Target. $55 no thanks. you can buy enough brewing supplies to brew 4 batches or so with that price. I like how it says local brews and it has a pic of the Lift Bridge guys on there....not local.
Lotsa local folks will be there: August Schell, Finnegan's, Flat Earth, Lift Bridge, Summit, Surly... Brau Brothers will be there, and they grow their barley and hops at their brewery in MN. That's pretty local. Cheers, -trev PS. Lift Bridge is based in Stillwater MN. Brewed in MN, WI.
Brau brothers makes some 'interesting' beers. Lift Bridge is a group of guys living in Stillwater and Brewing some 3 or so hours into WI. They dont even have their own brewery, they contract brew. I just dont like how they try and fool people into thinking they are local when they are not. Otherwise they make some decent beers.
