You know how to make a heavy, front wheel drive, turbo charged, non-lsd car go fast? ;)

In my previous 9-3 I would push it right into the corner and then power through the understeer, it was ugly but I usually placed fairly high in G-Stock.

    See you there.

I'm signed up for the school. I was also thinking about going down to watch at valleyfair if I don't end up having any other plans.

Planning on signing up for this one. Zach said he will be an instructor too. Sounds like this event is very helpful.. I will give a shot and update this thread when done.

yeah, i'll be instructing there as well as helping do tech inspections on saturday. See you guys there... Make sure to put a little extra air in your tires and show up on sunday with nothing in your car (stuff in the glovebox is ok)

The event went great today, we got a LOT of runs. I think I ran 13 or 14 times. The instructors were very helpful.

I'd definetly do this recommend this, if for nothing else than all the seat time!

    So who all was there?

Cole-that was you in the 04-05 silver with mudflaps right?

beelo-I remembered you from valley fair and of course the avatar you have

esperunit-there as an instructor and bombing around the course during instructor show off time

    shane- black wrex running timing

I know there were a few more of you there...blaze yellow bugeye (father/son/son) and I think there was a wrb bugeye there also

    And a couple 2.5rs

Anyways it was a blast. I vote beelo most improved, he was running significantly faster/more confident than he was the previous weekend at valley fair. Pretty sure we all learned something.

Yeah I did improve a lot. It was a lot of fun, and a good learning experience. As I said after the event, it was the best $50 spent.
I checked with Subydude and did not find any 17X8 Attack wheels. I might have to go with just 17X7.5's with either kooks or kumho's.

Sorry, wanted to come and say hi but it was a busy day.

Are the times posted yet for the weekend?

Looks like only the boost, the formula mesh, the g-force, the rev, the slipstream, and the torque come in the 17x8 wheel size.

HOLY BALLS dude... don't buy your tires from SubyDude... WAYYY OVERPRICED. and if your going to buy your wheels from them, go through the NASIOC vendor thread... their cheaper through there... pretty much any 17" from them can be had for $700 or less shipped to your door.

Then, head over to www.edgeracing.com and grab yourself a set of 235/40-17 either Hankook RS2 Z212s ($105 each) or some Falken Azenis RT-615s ($122 each) and you'll have some AWSOME grip, and shouldn't have any problems with rubbing at all, even stock. They'll fit fine on a 7.5" or 8" wheel.

For the wheels, i was going to contact Sogonerg. I'll check edgeracing for the kooks. Also, where to get all this mounted at?

I got this message back from SubyDude: "I have Grids in Royal Gun Metallic. $650 shipped for the wheels w/ lugs."

Is that a good price? also if i buy the tires from edgeracing and wheels from Suby, where can i get all this mounted at? also should i ship all of it to my place or the mounting place.. ?

    Help!

Yeah, that's a good price unless sponsorg or whoever can get them cheaper. Sponsorg's selling the same spline drive lug nuts suby dude sends with the wheels for $40 so keep that in mind.

if you get Tires from ER and wheels from suby dude, you can litterally drag both of them into just about any tire shop and they'll mount them up and balance them for a fee.

Discount tire isn't too bad, as their shops are always equipped with some of the best gear. just call around to some local tire shops and ask them what they'd want to mount and balance some tires. i'd go to discount or any shop that sells big chrome rims for trucks. it's the same process, but their gear is specialized to mount tires without damaging the rims.

The more gangstas with easily damaged pimp rims the better in terms of a mounting shop.

nobody like messing up mr. thugs $2000 a wheel rims mounting them so they usually have the best machines. They also can make a promise they will not mar the paint on painted wheels when other shops will not. discount tire has good equipment too, done two mountings there with no problems.
