So, I want to film people working on cars, screwing around (with cars), or just you guys hanging in a garage.

Is anyone doing anything this weekend? We (my work) learned a ton just from hanging out with you guys at Firestone. BUT because it was so dark and the fact that the studio lights could only project 3-4feet it made it really hard to see your cars in the videos. Basically, what I got was excellent lighting of people talking and than shady bolbs (that were actually sweet cars) in the back ground. So hanging out in a garage or something would be nice.

I would also love to have action shots. But I don't want people doing illegal stuff--too bad there are no autox at this time.

Oh and Chux I would be up for making the trip to Duluth if you could get a few off-road guys together.--Maybe we could do a few action shots.

I will probably hang at the dyno day with a camera if you guys are down.

    So any ideas?

Feel free to post them here or shoot me a PM.

    Thanks as always.

Oh and at this time I can't promise any pizza but I will TRY to work something out to make it mutually beneficial. The only thing is I am doing this on my own merit to try to score some "brownie points" at work.

    Cheers
    Chris

I don't know about that...It's competitve, just like SALEs...Gotta know your product and have a personality behind it. I'm sure Chris works hard to earn business. Gotta be Creative!

It sounds much more glamorous than it is. :D The night I met with you guys at Firestone--I worked 78 hours that week. And, most people think that ad guys make a ton of money--NOT TRUE. It's just hollywood perpetuating it. On average an agency job pays 1/3 less than the equivalent job should I have worked at General Mills, Target, Best Buy.

But then I wouldn't get to wear jeans and sweatshirts to work :D

OH and I just thought of a "perk"

I can try to pull together some Porsche scwhag, posters, re-prints of ads, etc.

    Remember that 911 Turbo ad:

Calling it transportation is like calling s*e*x reproduction

    on the best headlines ever.

Spot on my friend! Hard industry to break into. And it is easy to become yesterday's news and end up kicked to the curb.

Advertisers and sales people made the top ten lists for:

    Alcholics
Most likely to get a divorce
    Depression

Fun job though just can burn you out--which I am sure all of you sales guys will agree on.

In this industry, you better have a hobby or your mind will explode. Whether it is sports, cars, or *Porn* 8) . Better get one. or your gonna get burnt out. Luckily for me I have my Suby and Aquarium to keep me ocuppied. And of course my wife, but she is the depression part of my life...haha...jk

its cool to see you wanna get more info from the club. i am sure with the outcome from the last meet you had people will be lining up to talk to ya lol.

the dyno day is a good idea. its not too far away just about a week and a half or so. you could always get your 'legal' video there and still do interviews at firestone. there is also that goodbye for time at the end of the month i believe (that could be a good spot).

    good luck.

I was hoping to get some stuff this weekend. Next weekend will be cutting it close...and is probably the last weekend I can film stuff. Due to time constraints.

Martin are you working on anything sweet this weekend?

Certainly, I just don't really have any ideas. It's too bad I didn't know more last weekend...I would have hung out with ReadyMix and company as they had an install day.

    Any ideas?

I would love to have a shot of your cars sliding across the mud like in your avatar.

    :D

The brake group-buy people are going down to pick up their parts this saturday. There's a sticky thread in the for sale forum with times and location. I don't know how exciting it will be, but there's a chance more than one person will be standing around talking. I know I'll probably be installing my new brakes this weekend, but it'll just be me in my own garage working on it.

unfortunately, I have an orchestra concert on Saturday evening, and I don't have a garage, nor do I have any major projects.

But the next weekend I'll probably be at my parent's place in the cities. in which case I'll be pulling the LSD off my blue wagon, and putting it in my black one, along with a reinforced rear hanger. And I bet we could get some offroading together on my buddies property in Maple Plain....

Hey just noticed that one of the local jeep guys is installing a rear locker this sunday. I'll see if he's interested in having you guys stop by.
