    You buy the tool then return it for the refund minus 8 bucks for rental fee.

    Its free basically. Last time I rented - it was like $37 I think, put it on the card and a full return few days after.

    If you had a way to get to Rochester you could use mine. It's not the giant kind, it's the ones you can get at Sears, the screw type ones. Impact guns make fast work of springs with them.

    its actually on a stand but is the same thing as a wall mounted one... OTC

    There. Or here. Sometimes both.
    I just rented one at Checker a couple weeks ago. Paid a deposit that was refunded IN FULL the next day. If you keep it longer, it's like 6 bucks a day.

    So, if you only need it one day, it's completely free. They even refund the tax.

    When I needed a universal clutch alignment tool in Duluth, it was $16 to rent, and $18 to buy at the Checker there. Needless to say I bought the damn thing.
