I'm looking to get the windshield replaced on my STi and want to know if anyone has had any luck with a windshield replacement place. I don't care as much if I have to go to them or if they can come to me, I just want to make sure it's sealed correctly so that it doesn't cause rust issues in the long run. Thanks in advance, -Shawn
I do not . Trying to get my glass fixed before I put full coverage on it. Thanks for the tip I'll check them out!
Clear Choice AutoGlass Wayne 763-755-5055 My next door neighbor for 24 years and has been doing glass as long as I have known him. After a bad deal with safelite via insurance years ago he is the only one I have do my autoglass now. His kid is good too, he's done a couple of mine with out issues. If you are paying out of pocket, depending on his costs he is pretty good about being able to work out a fair price. Often times the margin on the glass itself is minimal from what I have seen in getting prices from him over the years. But he does what he can. Two windshields in my '95 F150 , last one more than 10 years ago and no rust around the windshield. Two in two '08 Foresters, 1 each when they were about a year old. Both are still fine. Mine has a lifted piece of trim, but the trim was deformed when it came out of the box. Not his fault and its a DD not a show car so I said have at it and get it done.
I have used Ace Auto in saint paul...used glass usually installed for about $200...pretty hard to beat unless you want new...
2 reasons, one you do not get "free" windshield replacement in MN, 2 it would be insurance fraud to wait till he adds it.
