I'm looking to get the windshield replaced on my STi and want to know if anyone has had any luck with a windshield replacement place. I don't care as much if I have to go to them or if they can come to me, I just want to make sure it's sealed correctly so that it doesn't cause rust issues in the long run.

    Thanks in advance,
    -Shawn

Do you have full coverage. I've had pretty good luck with safelite.

Why fix it before you get full coverage? You get free glass in Minnesota with full coverage.

My next door neighbor for 24 years and has been doing glass as long as I have known him. After a bad deal with safelite via insurance years ago he is the only one I have do my autoglass now. His kid is good too, he's done a couple of mine with out issues.

If you are paying out of pocket, depending on his costs he is pretty good about being able to work out a fair price. Often times the margin on the glass itself is minimal from what I have seen in getting prices from him over the years. But he does what he can.

Two windshields in my '95 F150 , last one more than 10 years ago and no rust around the windshield.

Two in two '08 Foresters, 1 each when they were about a year old. Both are still fine. Mine has a lifted piece of trim, but the trim was deformed when it came out of the box. Not his fault and its a DD not a show car so I said have at it and get it done.

    Noble Auto Glass.

After dealing with them on my LGT wagon, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

2 reasons, one you do not get "free" windshield replacement in MN, 2 it would be insurance fraud to wait till he adds it.
