Anyone have problems with their Sprint cell???

    Anyone have problems with their Sprint cell phone ealier today (1/9/06)?

    I had several people call me today looking for someone else. WRONG NUMBER. they thought I was messing with them. then I tried calling my girlfriend (Lynn) and got someone named Becky. I asked what number she was - way off from the number I was calling. same with those other people.

    I talked with my gf later tonight and she had several missed calls from numbers she didn't recognize.

    wondering if this has anyting to do with it...http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/01/09/sprint.outage/index.html the time frame is about the time all this happend.

    I don't have sprint buy my work cell is nextel and sprint and nextel have merged.

    I had problems with that yesterday.
    people said they could not hear me on direct connect, I would call my voice mail and it would call my phone and I could hear myself talk, it would just shut off and turn back on, and at the end of the day I could not make a call to save my life, it kept coming back as system is busy error.

    I work with sprint/nextel, and i get all fot he coverage error notices, stuff like that. I'll see what i can dig up at work when i get in, probably what they call an "unplanned maintenace"

    under my NDA i cant say much, but yeah, lets just say major outages all over the place.

    Looks like theyve been busy for the last day or so...

    My work uses Sprint as our long distance carrier and we couldn't make any calls to the west of us yesterday afternoon..it really sucked, especially for our West Dispatcher.

    weird cause one of my techs has nextel and he ahd issues but I called thorugh to him no problems through my nextel...

    i have had t-moble, sprint, nextel, verizon and now cinguler and sprint had the worst of every thing, drop my calls all the time, people would call me and it would say my number dont exist( not good when your running your one bissness) and had the worst luck with there phones. ended up smashing it and canceling my contract early. i hate sprint!!!
