I have a new electric, but the action and intonation isn't to my liking, anyone here familiar with how that works? Also, my low E is buzzing when I press the 12th fret. I'd like to get the strings down closer to the fretboard, but at the same time avoid all the buzzing.
Also, if you've leveled frets before, I'd love to see how that is done because I'm almost certain I have some tall ones.
Is it new to you or a brand new guitar? Regardless, if you bought it from any shop, you can bring it in and they can adjust your action or recap your fret. Shouldnt be to terribly expensive; if it is a brand new guitar, they should get it taken care of for free. Details about the guitar? Or are you looking to do this on your own?
I'm kindof a DIY'er. So doing this myself is more my taste. It is a "new" guitar in that I built it from one of those online kits. Nothing has been adjusted as of yet. The local shop here in Green Bay charges 33 bucks to do it. But I'd much rather learn how it is done. The more I know about how things work the happier I am about them.
if you really really cant find any help on this I could drop a message to my Ex her dad builds and repairs all kinds of guitars.
I'll leave that as my last resort. **EDIT** Dammit, forgot Aegis was still logged in, this is Readymix.
The Les Paul has a end-stop bar. No tremolo usually (also known as whammy bar). I can get one for it, but unfortunately, those cost upwards of 170 bucks. And they are hard to find. Plus, I suck, and I'm definitely not good enough to utilize one at the moment. I guess down the line if I get good enough to make proper use of one, I'll add it. It's just 2 screws to install one that replaces the stop bar.
