I'm looking for a place that will have lots and lots and lots of electronic components. Relays, transistors, resistors, proto boards, IC's, etc., etc., etc. Something along the lines of digi-key or Mouser, but a local place I can walk into and look around. Cause waiting for shipping sucks. I often visit Axman looking (Axman FTMFW, y0!), but when it comes down to it their selection is awfully limited and it's a bit of a gamble if a part will work. There must be a place like this somewhere around here. Anyone know of one? Oh, and don't say Radio Shack. I refuse to get a** r*ped on price by those scammers - I'd rather just wait for shipping. Buy more than a couple parts and you can get overnight shipping for less, not to mention they have a pretty lame selection, too.
Seriously, ever compared their prices to someone whose business is selling electronic parts?? Like ten times as much. I will NOT pay $8.00 for an $0.80 part. (Not to mention that their sales people will come into that back corner and try and sell you cell phones when you're there looking for a DPDT 12v relay that they don't have) I've been googling all over and can't seem to find anything.
Plus I already looked for the particular parts I need right now at their University Ave & Mtka Blvd locations and wasn't able to find what I need.
Nice. That's more what I'm looking for. I'll have to call them and see how they work - can't tell from the website if they have a walk-in service or if it's just mail/online.
