I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know the history of this 2009 world rally blue WRX sedan that's up at Carlson Toyota in Coon Rapids?

Looks like it has an upgraded top mount, intake, exhaust and gauges. I'm looking for a year round driver and might go take a look at it. The intercooler makes me curious, as I don't believe it's usually one of the first few things upgraded.

    Thanks.

Hmmm...don't recognise it. But i do see what appears to be an aftermarket exhaust(probably SPT), Short Ram Intake(K&N Typhoon?), SPT turbo heatshield, and FMS(style) topmount...in addition to the gauges. Probably has a stage 2 flash on it as well.

i'm most curious about the tune. I'd want to make sure it was done right. You don't see cars that new, that modified, very often!

Well i don't see anything too crazy there. Just some bolt ons that shouldn't really hurt the car any. If you bought it, just to be safe, i'd have one of our local tuners look over it and log it...maybe reflash it with a fresh tune if something looks off about it. "Should" be fine tho.

Welcome to MNSubaru.com where all of the cars that new are modified :). I'd have a compression test and a leak-down test done on it before you pull the trigger. Take a look and see if the stock heat shield is on the down pipe coming off of the turbo. I'd be more than happy to go take a look at it if you would like, I work only a few miles from the dealership.

Thank you very much for the offer! I was thinking if I was serious, I could take it to DB and have it dyno'd too! (more to check the tune than to know the whp)

I'm still not sure what I'll do. The new ones, though rare, are only $26,xxx, so I suppose if I was being logical, that means I'd stay away from a modified one with 50k miles for $21,xxx. I don't think I can stomach paying that much for used. Heck, there's a used STI wi fewer miles for $25,xxx
