Hi All I bought a new Impreza over last weekend, and my old car has new tires on it. Basically, what I need to know is if anyone knows of a salvage yard, or anywhere I can go to get some cheap, crappy tires for the old car so I can tow it out. The new tires will be eventually going onto the subaru, so I want to save them if I can. The apartment complex is DEMANDING I have the old car out within a week - any help would be appreciated, or if you know of a person who has some lying around, that would help too. the dead car is a 1992 mazda protege lx. LOL... welcome to the early 90's mazda protege lx to Subaru conversion. I had a 1993 Mazda Protege LX that I got rid of to get my Subaru.
HAHA! Awesome. Well, glad I am not the only one. I gotta give props to that mazda though .. that thing was purchased for less than 500 bucks, tranny slipped a couple of times, it lasted me 3 years and 30K miles with nothing major needed except a timing belt - which we put on wrong and the thing STILL MANAGED to go for another 15K miles It finally went at 176K. When we did the timing, I was so far past the point of caring that it didn't even matter if it was off, as long as it ran, which it did. I'm really impressed... It's dead in the driveway, it's still useable, but I am just so sick of working on it! I don't want to fix it up and do anything with it, I just want it outta there... I checked craigslist - nothing, maybe I'll check out John's this week sometime ..

That would work just fine - what are the hours? I work an odd shift - 1030-7pm .. but if you're open on the weekend or past 7 any night, I could swing on by
we're open saturdays till 5 but other than that we are only open till 6 on the week days. if you swing by saturday that would work just fine. lmk!
