I think that you can modify your car as much as you want without "voiding the warranty"... the dealership has to prove that the modification(s) you made are the cause of problem that you are having warrantied. I've heard that from several sources, but correct me if I'm wrong. DISCLAIMER: may be complete BS considering i obtained this info from the all-knowing internets

Unless you know specifically otherwise from your dealership (meaning they are mod friendly), operate on the assumption that modifying your car will greatly reduce if not eliminate the likelihood of getting engine/transmission work done under the terms of your warranty.

If you value you warranty so much that you always want it honored, don't modify your car. Seriously.

Go ahead and mod if you want, as long as you deal with the potential consequences like a man. Don't break something and then go back to stock and try and get the dealership to fix it. People who do that are douchebags.

On a good day, a stock STI will get ~13.3 on the 1/4, but I've seen a couple at the Rock run high 14s-low 15s. :?
