Okay this might sound dumb, and I do apologize in advance, but I'm new here and once I signed up I realized that this was for Minnesota locals only.

I hope I'm not the only one here that's from NY..

I've just been trying to find Subaru sites that I could join & get help with whatever since I've just bought my first one and where else better to get help from than forums right?

So just wanted to see who else isn't a MN local. (sorry again lol)

Welcome! We don't mind out of staters around here! We have members in Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota(none of them are quite as far as you, lol).

Either way, stick around and we can do our best to help you out. ;)

What Subaru model did you pick for your first? And pictures are mandatory! Hahaha.

Also, have you signed up with any other Subaru forums?

Most members are from MN or the neighboring states, but you're still more than welcome here. MNSubaru is a great forum to be a part of and is a very useful resource for all things Subie. The people are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and there's a real sense of kinship. You may not be able to fully take advantage of the meets and classified section but I think you'll have a better experience here than at some larger forums.

Thanks! I picked up a bugeye just about a couple weeks ago, has a new clutch & new engine swap as well, runs pretty smooth, so I'm pretty excited to start working on it and get a new paintjob. :bounce:

    Here's a shot I took yesterday.

Thanks :D I find it funny how I've never liked bugeyes until now lol. And yeah it is pretty low, its a love/hate thing right now because of some bad roads messing up my bumper -.- its on coils so idk if I should raise it just a bit lol.

Low always "looks" the best. That's typically the only category that it scores well in tho. :smoke: I've gone back and forth on what i want to do, so far it remains at stock STi ride height.

Mine is dropped about 1.5" and has a front lip and side skirts so I feel your pain. It only sees a couple thousand miles a year so I can deal with it, but for a daily I'm not so sure I could. It is a little flatter through corners but it sucks over rough roads, driveways/parking lots, speed bumps, etc etc...

Yep, in it right now. Used to daily it and rallyx it on weekends. Now i just drive her to work and have a car dedicated to rallyx. ;)

I have 4 way adjustable AGX KYB's with stock STi springs. I would like to go with an RCE black spring eventually. Right now it basically feels stock, which i love since i'm in it every single day.

I was thinking to add a lip to mines as well, preferably a rubber one. What kind do you have?

I have a G35 just sitting there, used to be my daily but debating whether to sell it or not.

What are you using now as your rally car? :wideyed:

As much as I want to keep mines stock, I still want it to be pretty loud, but not too obnoxious either lol.

I have a GReddy front lip with C-West side skirts and rear lip. Wouldn't recommend it as it hangs really low. I'd actually prefer to just have the OEM style kit like this.

Adds a nice subtle touch and makes it look a little more aggressive/sporty but still keeps decent ground clearance.

Yeah I love that look. If I eventually end up making this my weekend car then I'll probably go with side skirts & rear lip. For now I just want a clean daily and not a racecar haha :D
