thinking about adding more lights to the sti lol. does anyone know where I can find some hella 500's this weekend locally? I see on hella's site they list pepboys, napa, and advance auto as distributors but that doesn't mean they'll have them in store. I'll call around tomorrow or saturday but in the meantime maybe someone can tell me if they've seen them on the shelf somewhere (or if someone has a pair they want to sell me)

in the stock foglight spots. i don't even want to use surrounds or anything, just bolt them straight in. all I do is break those fog covers so I'd just break the surrounds too lol

    Fogs or driving lights?

Fogs I don't know of anyone locally.

Driving lights, you want the 500FF at Walmart.

You can mount the 500s in the stock location by drilling one hole (each) through the bumper cover and the metal plate behind it. However, it may bounce around a lot with just the flimsy metal backer (meant to hold the stock lights with three bolts vs the 500 with one). That's what the Kartboy (and other brands) mounts are for.

Oh, durr, STi. Disregard the above paragraph then.

I'll sell you a pair of brand new Hella 1000FFs for not much more than the 500's would cost you...

Checker had the fogs and pencil beams IIRC, because I almost bought them for a project I was working on a while back.

It's possible, but all I've ever seen at any checker store has been the 500 "clear" driving beam. 500s come four ways, "clear" fog, amber fog, "clear" driving pattern and 500FF (free form, true clear lens) driving pattern. No pencil beam.

bump, looking for some 4000 pencil beams (halogen, no way I'm dishing out $1000 + on lights lol - at least, not yet). doubt anywhere local will have them but it's worth a shot before shooting an order off to rallylights

Let me check my supplier. Sometimes I can get Hellas a lot cheaper than rallylights, but it's hit-or-miss.

Edit: miss. I could match rallylights price, but not with the 10% mnsubaru discount.

Not local, and shipping can be a bit wonky with them. The actual shipping is quick, but they can take a week to get around to filling the order

Really, they sell Rallye 4000 series lights? That I'd like to see.

Walmart only sells the 500 series AFAIK.

Have you tried asking Doug Davenport? I know he'll try to sell you KCs instead of Hella, but he may have proper lights in stock in Princeton.

I've seen 500, 700, and 1000 series lights sitting on shelves various places but never 3000 or 4000.
