I have been running a mix of it for 6 moths now.

There is much homework that needs to be done before trying it out. search for hamfist's e85 posts on Nasioc for a good start.

DO NOT JUST PUT A FULL TANK OF E85 IN YOUR CAR.

    What mixture percent?

What is your percent mixture and what kind of performance differences have you seen?

    More research

    FYI...

After trolling the NASOIC board it looks like the optimum mixture for stock fuel and ECU is 30 / 70 of e85 to unleaded. Alot of people are running it 50/50 without any problems.

Really? Is it a A/F ratio problem?

I think I will just pay the $2 extra at the pump and not have to worry about blowing my motor up.

120+ octane, and it makes your injectors run full duty cycle, N/A shouldnt have ANY problem running it. martin, give it a shot you wont be dissapointed, it takes about an hour of driving for things to get adjusted to it, its incredible, just beat an auto TSI talon last night, i know those arent fast, but my car is a toad and i destroyed him

It seems we have more e85 stations than anybody in Minnesota, it would be a waste not to take advantage of that.

I'm curious why putting it into a turbo'd Subaru isn't a good idea though...

Also, what ratios are you guys using?

if i put in 5 gallons of gas i usually put in around 3 gallons of e85, it wont hurt anything, the only problem is that when you want to switch back to regualar gas it will be slightly rougher idle because of the richness but only for a a dozen miles or so

You can run E85 for about a year before it actually does damage to your fuel lines/o-rings/pump. I really don't see why people think it's such a great gas. What you don't pay for at the pump, you make up for by richening out your fuel maps.

If you're planning on really following through with the whole E85 thing, make sure you get a Fuel Flexable fuel pump, stainless steel fuel lines, and Viton o-rings.
