I have an 03 wrx and in need of new spark plugs... i have to go buy some though but what kind of spark plugs would you guys recommend me getting(ngk, bosch)?? Also, i don't know and don't have the tools to do this, would anyone be willing to lend a hand and some tools perhaps? i can pay ya if we can negoiciate (sp) a price.. thanks in advance
i have the tools, experience and i can help, give me a call 6124184755 i can help tommorow after about 3.. i recomend NGK but im sure theyre all the same
NGK's are great. Spark plugs are quite easy on Subarus, I thought it was going to be a pain in the ass but it wasn't.
let me knwo when you are gonna change out your plugs? i need to change mine's out as well. Im gonna go with the NGK platiums being that my car doesn't really create enough heat to render those plugs uesless. All plugs will give the same output and etcc..but usually the more you pay, the longer it last and the better it works in extreme conditions.
i have heard that the denso iridiums are the best, dont know the plug number but if you check around you should be able to find it.
Subaru part # 22401AA530 NGK # PFR6G BTW: DO NOT USE ANY OTHER PLUG!!!!!! Subaru's done their studying and NGK's run best...any other can set a misfire code!  We have them in stock With MNSubaru discount-$41.91 inc. tax (For 4 Plugs pre-gapped)

They are the factory platinum which are recommended. I wouldn't use any other brand but NGK. I've seen every other plug set CEL's....even the champions that come in some of the Legacy's and Foresters. I've heard Iridiums are okay...but if you think $10.00 a plug is expensive your in for a real shock when you buy iridium plugs. ...and Russ, did you buy your car new...cause it shouldn't have had Denso plugs in it. I haven't seen one yet that was running anything other than NGK(in a WRX anyway).
Heh, doesn't really matter how long they last, you really need to swap them out every 30kish so they don't become one with your head. I bought NGK's second to cheapest plugs, and I think they were a couple of bucks a piece.
Yep, my car was first allocation. If I remember correctly, it came with ik20 plugs in it, and once I started making more power I swapped over to the ik22 (one step colder). I think the plugs cost me $50 shipped (it has been 2 years). Russ
