Just checking to see if I can get some extra hands. Probably need about 4 dudes to pick the body up and put it on the sawhorses. And a few extra hands for disassembling the body wouldn't hurt either. This weekend, probably Saturday. I'll be out there all day, more than likely. Goal is to have the body of the car on sawhorses by the end of the day. Bring gloves...like the Mechanics gloves, I have rubber gloves if you are afraid of dirt. Bring a few wrenches and sockets in the 8-16mm range if you want, I have a set of tools for me, and a few stray tools that might work, but the more the merrier. Bring beer. I'll probably grab a 12 or two of that Oktoberfest stuff (man that's good) Bring a Sharpie marker. I have 2 in the garage for labelling baggies, but more than 2 people working might make that annoying.
All day, fella. And if you bring that screen, I might have the shirts in time for that later that night.
Shirts are shipping via UPS ground, so I can't guarantee they will be here by the weekend. But if you bring the screen I can always get started on it during the week at night.
alright, i will probably just go from the airport there then... then perhaps, the chassis will be ready for me to take sunday?
That is the plan, Chris. After looking over the timelines and such, and seeing the sudden drop in temps, if I don't get this thing painted soon, I wont be able to paint it till late spring of next year. It will be on the sawhorses by Sunday.
I would love it if you and Rexarew came by. I got so much cool stuff to show her And you too ... and I have a mp3 CD of METAL to make for you guys (for her birfday) Hint: don't go to Firestone friday. Just come over here Saturday
Understandably so, I'm just butthurt that I can't make both events. If I had put my $40 registration in to your garage instead I'd have different plans this weekend.
I would love to come help ya out, but we are going up north. Take some pics of the fun. and have a beer for me because you know I will be having one for you
You know I will be there. Is it this weekend or next weekend that Mike is coming over to finish that frame?
Anyone on the west side wanna car pool over there around 7:30-8?? Edit: I don't wanna drive as I am driving to Rodgers after work for parts ... possibly.
No it won't. You guys take forever to get started on anything. What will happen is that we'll hang around watching dumb videos until everyone shows up, at which point the people who are here already will be slightly buzzed on a few beers, and then the whole thing wraps up around 2-3am about 6-8 hours after you actually start
huh huh huh.. he said yank. Sorry buddy, my honkey ass won't be able to join due to people from out of town will be here. If things change i'll show up with tool in hand. (I know what you sick ****s are thinking)
i dont plan to be sitting around idle that long, i intend to start working on tear down and label as soon as i arrive.
