So, After doing a lot of reading and research I'm going to attempt a 5MT swap on the T-Leg this weekend. I'll take any help I can get. In return, I'll make sure the fridge is stocked full of premium lagers and there'll be massive pizza ordering. Let me know if you wanna come help or just watch my struggle. ~Bryan p.s. Actually, that would be awesome. What works for you? Since I have no jerb, I have weekends off and have school m,w,f mornings so I'm pretty open. Your expertise would definately be helpful.
I am not sure when i will have time, i am in the middle of getting a new job and as soon as my background check goes through i start working, i will try to get the weekend after thanksgiving off so if that works for you, im game. do you have everything you need for the swap? cvj's, crossmember, driveshaft? bible?
I've done it on my loyale.....similar idea. and have done lots of work on the newer stuff..... you won't need CVs unless you're using a newer stubless tranny. and I'll be in the cities for the weekend after t-day. I could swing by and help a bit.
The weekend after thanksgiving would be perfect. I believe I have everything needed to do the swap (tranny, driveshaft, clutch flywheel, 2 cvs, rear diff, crossmember, pedals, slave cylinder, speedo cable, shifter and linkage) . Its the wiring that is scaring me change stuff around. I even have a manual gauge cluster but won't know if I can wire that in differently. So, if you guys could make it that weekend, that would be perfect. Any other parts you can think of?
wiring? for a 5MT swap. just jumper the neutral start switch and go! (back-up lights are overrated anyway)

Bump. New clutch and pressure plate got here today and got the flywheel resurfaced. All set to rock. Going out to buy beer and jag as well as pulling cvs. Anyone coming?

bump. still not done, been sitting with the 5 speed mere inches from the bellhousing but need at least 3 people to push it in all the way, me and another buddy didn't have enough mustard to get it in. Anyone able to boot out this week to lend a muscle or 2?
