Bakugan is the new Pokemon, its like crack for kids! Our office here in Eden Prairie is working on the Bakugan video game, as part of the PR for the game the marketing team put this truck together and is traveling accross the US. Inside there are demos of the game for Wii and DS which allow kids to play the game 3 weeks before the game releases. http://www.kotaku.com.au/2009/09/bakugan-the-truck/ The truck is here in the cities this week. Mine love the toys, but don't realise there's actually kind of a game that goes along with it. Some of the kids here are crazy for the toys, and have never even seen the cartoon. Oh, and real Bakugan are hard to come by here, but we get lots of knock-off alternatives that aren't quite as well built or durable as the real deal. Will the video game be coming out in a Euro-friendly PAL version for the Wii in time for Xmas ?
Can you send me any super secret cheat codes so I can beat the pants off my 6yr old on Xmas Day ? I promise to only share them with other dads
Well, this went straight to the top of Quinn's Favourite Games list. In all honesty, it's significantly better than Pokemon, since there's more stuff to actually do. I think one of the challenges was even spelling words right, so it seems that there may be a valid educational element. I still prefer Lego Star Wars and House of the Dead Overkill, myself, but this seems an alright game for the kids. By the way, Bakugan has been banned outright at the kids' school as of this week. There have been a few problems caused by it. So, it would seem it isn't just a fad over in the US; it's hitting here, too.
